Iced Matcha Latte
I was introduced to Matcha by Ricki Heller (you must check out her blog), and when I first tried it I wasn’t overly impressed. It should be noted that I tried it as a warm drink – which you would think would be normal since it is a type of tea which is made from “shade grown tea leaves” ground into an ultrafine powder. However, as you will find out through my musings and what I share from my health journey, that there is probably very little that is “normal” about me or in my life! 🙂
- 1/2 cup ice
- 12 oz almond milk
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 8-10 drops unflavoured stevia

Pop everything in the blender, et voilà ! 🙂
The recipe that I modified this from can be found at www.rickiheller.com/2009/11/a-matcha-made-in-heaven-chocolate-and-green-tea-truffles-for-everyone-and-more
Essentially, I modified Ricki’s recipe because my blender couldn’t handle all of the ice. Ricki mentioned that oat milk works really well in this recipe as well. Hope that you enjoy!
